Long ago there was a small, brown mouse and a gold, angry lion. The mouse was making a burrow next to the sleeping lion. The mouse was disturbing the lion.
Suddenly the lion woke up and caught the mouse with its sharp claws and paw, and said, "mouse can't you see I'm sleeping." "Ooh! sorry king, please let me go, "said the mouse. So he let go of the mouse and the mouse ran far away from the lion and went to sleep.
At night a hunter came and set a net trap. The lion was caught. When the lion woke up and went "roar, roar, roar' the mouse thought that it was the lion. She ran and ran to the lion. She could see that he was trapped in the net. The lion saw the mouse and said, " please get me out of this net". So the mouse bit and bit day and night.
Finally he was set free and the lion said, "you can sleep in my stinky den.
Lastly they lived happy ever after.

A Maori legend-Narrative By Brooke
In the beginning Rangi the father had red eyes. He was strong. He had tatoos, patterns and shapes on his arms. Papa the mother is brown like the earth. Brown as the soil.
Soon they had kids. They were named Tu, Tane, Tawhirmatea, Tangaroa, Haumia and Rongo.
The kids were sick of their parents because they didn't like being in the dark. They decided to split up their parents. Every kid tried but they could not split them up.
Tane tried. He put his feet up and pushed his parents apart. The children were very happy because they were in the light, not the dark.
Tane turned into the God of the forest. Tangaroa became the God of the sea. Tu was the God of man and war. Tawhirimatea became the God of the wind and storms. Haumai was the God of wild foods and uncultivated foods and Rongo was the god of peace and agriculture.
The Maori say when it rains it is Rangi the sky father crying for Papa.

A Narrative about being trapped.
Trapped in the fire - By Sasha Age 6
One summer night Sasha and Brooke were cooking tea, when they put on the frying pan. It started a fire in the house. The fire was hot and had huge flames. Luckily Sasha was able too dial 111 and then 1 minute later the fire man arrived. They blew out the fire. The girls survived. They were very greatful but had to live in a tent. They got sent food from their family and friends. The families had to save their money again to build a new house. They were terrified but at least they got to get a new house. To fix up their house they went shopping for furniture and food. That night they had some tea and they were very happy. They went to sleep.
